TRANSITIONS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Position Overview:

Working closely with the Divisional and Operations teams, the Transitions Relationship Manager’s primary responsibility is to effectively support the transition of the Financial Advisor team to the Firm by providing training, consulting and support services. The Transitions Relationship Manager will serve as a liaison with the Firm’s custodians to ensure compliance with protocol requirements while managing the internal processes for transitions and onboarding, in addition to the requirements for each custodian.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project management of the transitions process and monitoring of account transfers  
  • Identify and escalate potential issues to Compliance or Operations for resolution
  • Provide training on opening new accounts and manage overall product and service training needs
  • Provide operational procedures and basic system training to transitioning Advisor team
  • Liaise with Operations, Product Due Diligence, Registrations, Marketing and Technology Departments
  • Partner with the Divisional Supervisory Principal to delivery procedural training and development for the first 90 days of the transition
  • Manage the 90 day “graduation” for the newly transitioned team by coordinating with multiple departments for any outstanding training requirements.   
  • Provide monthly analytics, during the first 90 days on the Advisor teams’ progress and determine needs for training and/or support.   
  • Support the Advisor team “Concierge” with any questions and support needs they may have and escalate to respective departments accordingly.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)  
  • Minimum of five years of experience with Brokerage Sales, Sales Support, Operations, and/or Advisor transitions  
  • Financial Advisor transition management experience required  
  • FINRA licenses: 7, 63/65 or 66 required
  • FINRA licenses: 9/10 or 24 preferred
  • Insurance licensing preferred
  • Ability to travel to branches to support transition including overnight travel
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Independent self‐starter with strong task management skills  
  • Highly detail‐oriented with superior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to follow‐up to ensure resolution and completion of tasks
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills  
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
